Elon Musk has called the explosion of a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas an act of terrorism. He credited the Cybertruck's design for minimizing damage to the hotel.

 

The blast occurred early Thursday when a rented 2024 Tesla Cybertruck caught fire, resulting in one death and seven minor injuries, according to Las Vegas police. The hotel was evacuated as a precaution.

 

Musk shared on X, "The evil knuckleheads picked the wrong vehicle for a terrorist attack. Cybertruck actually contained the explosion and directed the blast upwards. Not even the glass doors of the lobby were broken."
